Course Objectives This course aims to teach basic concepts in operations management and develop a solid understanding of the strategic importance of operations management.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Define the basic concepts and strategies of Operations Management.
  • Distinguish the differences between strategic, tactical and short-term decisions in Operations Management.
  • Apply quantitative techniques used in Operations Management to real-life problems.
  • Define the impacts of supply chain decisions on supply chain strategy.
  • Make inventory management decisions effectively.
Course Description This course covers designing, managing and improving operations, process analysis, capacity analysis, bottleneck management, and supply chain management.
